MEET MARISA

Marisa is a Registered Nurse (RN), Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB), and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She earned her BSN from Indiana University and began her career in med/surg nursing in Indianapolis, where the birth of her first child profoundly shaped her path. Her daughter’s diagnosis of Down syndrome inspired Marisa to transition into maternal-child health nursing and pursue her IBCLC certification.

Since returning to Illinois in 2015, Marisa has over 10 years of experience in maternal-child care, including labor and delivery, postpartum, NICU, and lactation support. Her combined professional expertise and personal experience allow her to provide compassionate, personalized guidance for families navigating their breastfeeding journey.

Marisa is passionate about supporting mothers and their families, providing individualized care to help them confidently achieve their feeding goals. She is committed to ongoing lactation education to ensure she offers the most current and evidence-based guidance.

Outside of work, Marisa enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their dog and cat. She loves traveling, camping, hiking, and horseback riding, and also enjoys ceramics, gardening, and reading.
